Five Concordia Senior Athletes Sign NLIs on Spring National Signing Day

Five Crusader athletes signed national letters of intent to compete at the next level during the Spring National Signing Day on Thursday, April 18th inside Crusader Gymnasium. These athletes are all seniors and join the 10 seniors who signed already in the Fall and Winter signing days who also have inked their intent to compete in collegiate athletics.

  • G Jace Jeffries ’24 (Basketball) signed with Lamar University (Beaumont, TX) for Men’s Basketball. Lamar is a NCAA Division I institution and their mascot is the Cardinals.
  • Megan Groeschel (Cross Country and Track) signed with UTSA (San Antonio, TX) for Women’s Cross Country and Women’s Tracak. UTSA is a NCAA Division I institution and their mascot is a Roadrunner.
  • OL John Miller (Football) signed as a preferred walk-on with Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, TX) for Football. SHSU is a NCAA Division I institution and their mascot is a Bearkat.
  • Emerson Swanner ’24 (Golf) signed with LeTourneau University (Longview, TX) for Women’s Golf. LeTourneau is a NCAA Division III institution and their mascot is the Yellowjackets.
  • Joshua Zak ’24 (Track & Field) signed with Concordia University (Austin, TX) for Men’s Track & Field as a Thrower of Shot Put and Discus. Concordia is a NCAA Division III institution and their mascot is the Tornados.

We are proud of these student athletes and all our Crusaders at the Next Level currently competing around the country. In total, there are currently over 60 alumni playing collegiate athletics!
