Due to Hurricane Harvey, the Crusader Boys Cross Country Team was not able to take their annual, overnight teambuilding trip to race in a meet in Waxahachie.  Fortunately, due to some additional hurricane-related schedule changes, the boys made up for this experience with a road trip this past weekend to UT-Arlington’s Gerald Richey Invitational.  The boys were able to see several college teams race, as well as run with some of the best high school runners in the region, running in both the 1A-4A Varsity and the 5A-6A Varsity Divisions. Several Crusader boys set season bests, with Lucas Hunsdale, Anthony Lockley, Jeff Stahl, Thomas Gorline, Hunter Sowda, Daniel Semro, Hayden Campbell, and Nathan Groeschel also setting personal records.  The vote for most eye-catching uniform was too close to call between Love Joy (Black and Red Stripes), Concordia (Fierce Yellow Compression Shorts), and Highland Park (Black and Yellow Shorts)…see picture below.
