The Crusader Track team traveled to Waco this weekend to participate in the TAPPS state meet held at the pristine Clyde Hart track and field stadium. The march to the state championship began on Friday with the field events. Noah Barboza was the first Crusader to crack the board with an 8th place finish in the Shot put, gaining one point for the team. Girls track places 4th overall The Crusader Boys track team won their first District 3 championship last night by winning two out of the three relays.  The team of Kaleb Crowder, Andrew Elder, Scott Dickerson and Karlton Covington won gold in the 4×1 and the 4×4, consisting of Andrew Elder, Collin Howard, Corbett Fong, and Cage Cavazos finished the night by beating their competition by 7 seconds.  In the field portion of the meet, Jake Holland won the discus and Corbett Fong won the Long Jump by resetting his school record with a jump of 22 feet and 5 inches.…

Alyssa Schatte and Brynn King, freshman, brought home gold medals from the 2016 TAPPS State track meet this past weekend.  Brynn won gold in the long jump with a jump of 17’2″ and Alyssa cleared 5’6 to win the high jump and tied the school record in the process.  Maddie Koehn tied her personal best of 10’6″ to capture 2nd place in the pole vault. Senior Aubrey English finished out his senior year by taking 3rd in the pole vault with a vault of 12’6″. All in all it was a great weekend for the Crusaders.  Many of them finished…

The Crusader track team traveled to San Antonio to compete in the 5A South Regional Track meet.  The Crusader Boys finished 5th as a team and the Girls finished 4th.  Brynn King brought home gold in the long jump and the boys had a come from behind victory in the 4×100  (check out @clhsathletics to watch it happen).  Maddie Koehn broke the school record in the pole vault to finish 2nd.  Karlton Covington and Brynn King finished 2nd in the 200.  The boys 4×200 finished 3rd and Aubrey English tied the school pole vault record to finish 3rd.  These medalists along…

The Crusaders traveled to Cypress Christian on Saturday to compete in the Cypress Christian Relays.  The boys placed 6th out of 24 teams and the girls placed 2nd out of 17 teams. The girls 4×100 relay comprised of Megan Rankel, Bre Lauder, Grace Featherston and Emily Sonnier placed 1st.  Not to be outdone, the boys also finished 1st with the team of Will Bruha, Andrew Elder, Kaleb Crowder and Karlton Covington.
