Crusaders Stymied By Kelly Catholic, Lose 7-1

Concordia Lutheran Baseball struggled to get their offense going on Tuesday, in their loss to Kelly Catholic, 7-1. The Crusaders opened up scoring in the second inning when Ethan Harrington drew a bases loaded walk, scoring one run. Kelly Catholic pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Legendre singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and an error scored two runs for Kelly Catholic. Caleb Black toed the rubber for Concordia Lutheran. He struck out five and walked one. Reece Choate threw two innings out of the bullpen. Sam Polk led Concordia Lutheran Crusaders Varsity with two hits in four at bats.


Crusader Baseball Drops Game To Kelly Catholic After Late Score 3/24

Concordia stayed in it until the end, but Kelly Catholic pulled away late in a 7-4 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Kelly Catholic batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored one run for Kelly Catholic. The Crusaders got things moving in the first inning when Richard Diaz and Dylan Simmons hit home runs.

Miller got the start for Kelly Catholic. He lasted three innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out four and walking one.

Tyler Burnett was on the mound for Concordia. He lasted four and a third innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out four. Keegan Symons threw one and two-thirds innings in relief. Choate went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Concordia Lutheran Crusaders Varsity in hits.
