Concordia Crusader Football Coach Bobbby Lindquist and Hunter McQuary will be attending the Touchdown Club of Houston’s 12th annual Comerica Bank Sportsmanship Luncheon, presented by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, set for noon, Wed., Jan. 25, at the JW Marriott, 5150 Westheimer at Sage. This is a feel-good event, where they will  recognize what is right with high school football in Greater Houston.

To be selected for the award, referees judge each game on actions of the team; actions of the coaches; actions of support groups at the games, such as parents, band and pep squads; a score based on personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties; and respect for the American flag.

There are 15 schools that have qualified as finalists for the Class 6A and Class 5A categories, and 10 schools as finalists for the Private Schools/Class 4A category. They will name first, second and third-place winners in Class 6A and Class 5A, and name first and second place in Private Schools/Class 4A.
