Crusaders play tough but come up short against the Village School

Crusader boys soccer played their third district game against The Village School Vikings on Tuesday evening. The Vikings capitalized on a defensive error in the first two minutes of the game to go up 1-0. They added a goal toward the middle of the first half due to Crusader mistakes. The Crusaders were able to strike back with a goal off of a penalty kick by Jazer Maldonado in the second half, but it wasn’t enough. The Crusaders move to 3-4-1 overall and 1-2 in district play. Their next opponents include the Homeschool team at Concordia Friday evening and a district game at St. Thomas on Tuesday, the 12th.
