JV girls also take 2nd place.
The Varsity girls ran on tired legs and still had an AWESOME race. Three girls hit personal records and three hit season bests, on a challenging course like Spring Creek! The top five girls placed in the top 20 and the entire team of 7 placed in the top 30. That is awesome! Lauryn Kastenschmidt, placed 4th with a time of 12:17, Annie Walker 15th with a time of 13:09, Emily Cooper 17th with a time of 13:19, Karsyn Wendler 19th with a time of 13:19, Emily Engelbart 20th with a time of 13:23, Madelyn Rasberry 23 with a time of 13:55, and Rachel Brownell 29th with a time of 14:05. It was all about the mental challenge yesterday and positioning themselves where they needed to place themselves amongst the State Runner Up St.Agnes girls. I am so proud of how they handled the challenge and look forward to seeing what they can yet accomplish this season. These girls are fighters! They definitely deserve their 2nd place team trophy.
All of the JV girls who ran achieved season bests or personal records yesterday. Five girls hit personal records and three hit season bests! Coach Luevano said “This is EXACTLY what I want to see as a coach on the last meet of the season. They peeked right at the right time! Awesome job ladies.”
