Tennis Opens District Play with Strong Showing

Houston (Village Tennis Center) – The Saders opened the District 4-6A season in victorious fashion at The Village School, sweeping girls doubles and taking 3 out of 4 overall matches on the day. The pair of Belen Micklas and Dristi Shah started the Saders off on the right foot with a 6-3, 6-4 win at #1 doubles. Steady senior Elise Chouinard followed that up with a hard-fought 6-2, 7-6 victory at #2 singles and fellow 4th year athletes Kate Davis and Stephanie Uriegas finished strong with the 6-4, 6-2 win at #2 doubles.

On the boys side, freshman phenom Aaron Liu posted a dominant 6-2, 6-1 win at #1 singles and improved his record this spring to 5-0.
