At the end of January, eleven choir students from Concordia’s Concert Choir and two band students participated in the TPSMEA All-State Choir and Jazz Band in Richardson, TX.
For the 4th consecutive year and the 6th time in 10 years, Concordia has been named the TAPPS 6A State Champions of Instrumental Music. The Crusader ensembles of Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Saders Jazz Six, and Handbell Choir combined to clinch the title at the end of March.
For the 2024-2025 school year, 66 Houston area schools participated in Theatre Under the Stars’ annual Tommy Tune Awards. Concordia Lutheran High School Players performed Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame for almost 1,000 people at the end of February and beginning of March over six shows and the production has garnered 35 total nominations for this year’s Tommy Tune Awards.
In February, 16 members of Concordia’s Shotgun Team traveled to San Antonio for the annual Livestock Show Shootout. Over 1,000 shooters from all over Texas took part in the competitions and CLHS did extremely well with Noah Calub claiming 5th Overall in FFA Boys.
