Choir Wins TAPPS 6A State Vocal Music Competition for 5th Year in a Row

For the 5th consecutive year and the 9th in the last 13 years, Concordia has been named the TAPPS 6A Vocal Music State Champions. The Crusader ensembles of Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Women’s Choral, Men’s Chorus, and Sacred 2 combined to clinch Concordia’s 12th Vocal Music title in school history in the middle of April.

Ten Crusader athletes from five different Concordia athletic programs signed to play at the next level in college at NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA schools in Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, and Oklahoma.

Concordia Band Wins TAPPS 6A State Championship for 4th Consecutive Year

For the 4th consecutive year and the 6th time in 10 years, Concordia has been named the TAPPS 6A State Champions of Instrumental Music. The Crusader ensembles of Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Saders Jazz Six, and Handbell Choir combined to clinch the title at the end of March.

Concordia’s Winter Musical – Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame Earns 35 Tommy Tune Award Nominations

For the 2024-2025 school year, 66 Houston area schools participated in Theatre Under the Stars’ annual Tommy Tune Awards. Concordia Lutheran High School Players performed Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame for almost 1,000 people at the end of February and beginning of March over six shows and the production has garnered 35 total nominations for this year’s Tommy Tune Awards.
