Last week, both Crusader track teams competed in the TAPPS 6A District 4 Meet at St. Agnes. The Boys earned a 2nd place team finish while the girls claimed 3rd place. Several individuals and relays secured a top 4 finish resulting in the advancement to the Regional Track Meet this Thursday at Memorial Stadium in Bastrop, TX. At the Regional meet, the top 4 from each event will then qualify for the TAPPS 6A State Track & Field Meet Championships. Way to go Concordia and keep up the great work!
Boys Team Individual/Relay Highlights:
- 4x200 Relay (Tate E., Isaac P., Paxton H., and Owen G.): 1st place with a time of 1:31.93
- High Jump: Gideon S. (Jr.) 1st place with 5-08.00 and Ryan E. (So.) in 2nd place also with 5-08.00 with more jumps.
- Pole Vault: Ryley K. (So.) 1st place clearing 14-00.00
- 4x400 Relay (Tate E., Oliver B., Paxton H., and Owen G.): 2nd place with a time of 3:49.29
- 1600 Meters: Will K. (Jr.) 2nd place in 4:42.08
- Triple Jump: Lance C. (Sr.) 2nd place with 40-03.75 and Oliver B. (Jr.) 3rd place with 38-08.25
- Long Jump: Lance C. 3rd place with 19-02.00
- 4x100 Relay (Beau D., Isaac P., Paxton H., and Tate E.): 3rd place with a time of 44.83
- 200 Meters: Owen G. (Sr.) 4th place in 23.45
- 800 Meters: Will K. 4th place in 2:05.87
- 3200 Meters: Matthew K. (So.) 4th place in 11:12.71
- 300M Hurdles: Oliver B. (Jr.) 4th place in 44.10
Girls Team Individual/Relay Highlights:
- 4x100 Relay (Avery C., Sarah M., Adele N., and Taejha B.): 1st place with a time of 50.11
- 100 Meters and 200 Meters: Taejha B. (Sr.) won both events with times of 11.85 and 23.71 respectively
- 4x400 Relay (Avery C., Caitlin S., Shelby H., and Jessica M.): finished 2nd in 4:30.36
- Triple Jump: Adele N. (Fr.) 2nd place with a jump of 34-04.00
- 3200 Meters: Lauryn K. (Sr.) claimed 2nd placed in 11:57.0 with Megan G. (Fr.) in 4th in 12:23.27
- 1600 Meters: Lauryn K. also finished in 3rd with a 5:31.94
- Long Jump: Caitlin S. (So.) secured 4th with a leap of 15-07.50
