Academic, Speech & Debate Team
Individual champions across many of the varied academic competitions included ready writing, spelling, chemistry, persuasive speaking, prose interpretation, and solo acting, demonstrating the deep and varied talents of the Academic team and coaches.
The speech and debate team competes in local Texas Forensics Association speech and debate tournaments throughout the year and in the TAPPS 6A state meet in the spring. The academic team competes in academic virtual challenge meets and Best of Texas meets during the year and in the TAPPS state meet in the spring.

Courses Offered:
Debate courses are curriculum within the English Department. Students can take these courses as in-depth studies in the art of debate and various speaking/acting styles. Debate courses are year-long courses that require competition at local tournaments and teacher approval/course audition.
