Bass Fishing Team

Welcome to the Concordia Crusaders Bass Fishing Homepage

The Concordia Bass Fishing program has consistently had qualifiers at the state and regional level. The program focuses on boating safety and fishing conservation, sportsmanship, and faith as well as helping each member reach his or her potential both within and outside of fishing conservation. The purpose of the program is to guide each member as they develop a proficiency in a sport that can be shared and enjoyed with family, friends, and community for a lifetime.

Concordia’s program is a year-round program starting in September and commencing in May. Members can compete in up to seven tournaments a year. Teams consist of two members and a captain. The teams fish five regular tournaments to earn points towards regionals. The top 40% of teams in the Houston division move onto regionals to compete with a division from various parts of the state. From regionals, a percentage of teams earn their right to go to state.

The Crusaders compete in the Texas High School Bass Fishing Association. Members fish Lake Houston, Lake Somervile, Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend, and Lake Livingston during regular season. Regionals and state rotate each year. THSBA gives away $200,000 in prizes and scholarships each year.
