The Crusaders started the 2023 season with a shutout victory over Katy St. John XXIII. In the game, Concordia scored more points in a game than they have since the 2014 season.

For the second time in three years, Nolan Traeger ’24, has been selected to the USA Baseball’s 18U Baseball Team and will represent the Red-White-Blue and Concordia as part of the U-18 Baseball World Cup in Taiwan.

The Concordia Volleyball team is off to a solid start at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year. The Crusaders have posted many tournament wins and recently defeated preseason #1 private school in Houston, Episcopal. The team is hoping to reach the State Final Four again and compete for the school’s 4th state championship.

The National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) announced their 2022-2023 Super Regional Baseball Team that included Four Concordia Crusaders. RHP Eoghan Collins ’24 was specifically named the Baseball Large School National Pitcher of the Year.

Concordia’s first full school year competing in Esports was a major success. In the Fall and Spring competition seasons, the Crusaders had many teams make the playoffs including three State Runners-Up and four State Final Fours.

At the 2022-2023 TAPPS 6A Academic, Speech, and Debate State Championships, Concordia students performed well, especially in the Speech and Debate events, securing 2nd place. In the combined total, the Crusaders finished 6th place and Rebecca Kralowetz ’24 was honored as the highest point earner for the entire competition.

At the 2022-2023 FFA State Shotgun Championships, Concordia’s Shotgun Team claimed 4 Banners including their 1st State Champion Banner in Male Team Trap.

Straub, Iwama, and Mr. Held were all honored as TAPPS 6A Fine Arts of the Year Award Recipients giving Concordia Fine Arts the TAPPS Clean Sweep Again

Three Crusader athletes from three different teams signed to play at the next level in college at NCAA Division III and NJCAA schools in Texas and Louisiana.

Concordia honors several students for their end-of-year Excellence Awards in Fine Arts, Athletics, and each Academic Department.
